Parliamentary Hearings
In July 2026, she was invited to submit written evidence and speak before the XIV Committee on European Union Policies of the Italian Chamber of Deputies in the context of the informal hearings on Government Act no. 418. The hearing concerned the draft legislative decree adapting Italian law to Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, with particular regard to the use of AI systems for police activities and civil and criminal liability.
Her written submission focused on the constitutional and EU-law safeguards applicable to AI systems used for law enforcement purposes, with particular attention to authorisation mechanisms, biometric technologies, facial recognition, proportionality, and Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment.
